Just a few days after the Bixi Bike Sharing Bankruptcy announcement, it was announced that bike sharing will be coming Tampa. Fortunately for us, it’s being delivered by a different company. Excited to see more people cruising on two wheels in a few months. Check out the article I wrote for Creative Loafing about it here.
Small business Saturday is here! Today is a day to celebrate and support small businesses around your community. Last year over one hundred million people shopped small; invigorating and supporting their communities. Book a portrait photo session with me and save $50 off of the normal $200 sitting fee. I’ll also throw in a free 8×10! This is good through Monday, but I’m already almost booked through the holidays, so act fast. Thanks for your continued support!
One of Tampa Bay’s local newspapers, the Tampa Bay Times, liked some of my photos on instagram and published one in today’s issue! You can find it on the top of page 3B or on their website http://www.tampabaytimes.com/tampabaylive. Happy Friday friends!
I was four years old when my dad attempted to teach me how to ride a bike without training wheels. No more
pink and white or fancy sparkly tassels for me. Instead, I was moving on up to a boys black BMX bike that was too big for me. Dad duck taped two small pieces of wood to the pedals so I could reach them and inevitably I fell, got upset and went back into the house. The next day I went next door to Mikey and Billy’s house determined to ride. They put me on their sister’s banana seat Schwinn Stingray and off I went and never looked back!
Thank you dad for giving me that initial push and continuing to do so today. Thank you for giving me my love of bikes. Thank you for your unconditional love. Thank you for teaching me to never give up. Thank you for going on a bike ride today even though it was my idea! Thank you for being you. Happy Father’s Day. I love you always.
